Server 2008 Backup - Remove a backup target disk error

I am trying to remove a disk from from a set of four target backup disk drives.  I tried the GUI and the command line and I get the same error right at the end.  Here is what I did on the comman line:

 C:\Users\administrator.MMC>wbadmin get disks

The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
