this is the error when we trigger the system sate backup. However i have followed some troubleshooting steps prescribed by Microsoft.
Please find the below steps:-
Scenario1: No output or writers are not stable.
RCA:This issue occurs because the registry path to Eventcls.dll is incorrect or because the registry data type for the TypeLib setting is incorrect.FIX:https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2009533
Scenario2:
The system writer fails because permissions to files in the %windir%\winsxs\filemaps\ or %windir%\winsxs\temp\PendingRenames directories are incorrect.
From <https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2009272>
Troubleshoot
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2009272
Scenario3:
If some 3rd party storage Disk or Storage Management software is installed it may bring all the volume without drive letter offline
Generally 100 MB partition is system partition which contains Boot configuration Database and does not have a drive letter assigned.
From <https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2419286>
Troubleshoot
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2419286
https://community.emc.com/docs/DOC-32981
From command prompt
C:\>Diskpart
C:\Diskpart> List volume
C:\Diskpart> Select volume 1 (Considering this is 100 MB system partition)
c:\Diskpart> Online volume
C:\Diskpart> exit
DISKPART> automount
Automatic mounting of new volumes is disabled.
To enable AUTOMOUNT run the following command
DISKPART> automount enable
Reboot the server and the volume will not go offline.
OR
From the Disk Management console assign the drive letter to the 100MB partition it should bring the disk online.
To access Disk Management, open command prompt
C:\>Diskmgmt.msc
Select the 100 MB volume; Right click on the volume Change drive letter & Path; Assign a drive letter.
Assigning the drive letter will ensure the volume is not offline again after a reboot
However above steps did not work, I have not get any solution over forum except these. Could you please help me??

Windows Server Backup for Server 2008 R2 Virtual Machine - Keeps Failing!
Hi,
We're attempting to back up parts of a Windows Server 2008 R2 installation running under a virtual machine (*). We've tried using the Windows Server Backup that comes as standard with 2008 R2, but haven't been able to get it to work.
Accessing the server via Remote Desktop, I attempt to back up a folder onto one of my local drives (showing as a network share on that machine) but get "Backup failed to complete" and "The requested operation could
not be completed due to a file system limitation". (The share is writable via the server, as I can create and edit a new text file there).
The Event Log isn't much more informative:-
The backup operation that started at '2015-05-18T10:44:13.093750000Z' has failed with following error code '2155348041' (None of the source volumes were backed up.). Please review the event details for a solution, and then rerun the backup operation once the issue is resolved.
Any hints as to what might be going wrong here would be appreciated- thank you!

WBADMIN Status: "preparing media to store backups"
I'm using wbadmin on six Windows Server 2008 R2 Std file servers; the data goes to a USB drive attached to each server. At the start of the first scheduled backup after a file server is restarted for any reason (such as WSUS last night) the status of the wbadmin job shows "preparing media to store backups" and moves no data for about 30-35 minutes. The USB drive being used has not been switched out.
All six of my file servers using wbadmin do this, every time they are restarted. They do not show this behavior at any other time.
I'm not as concerned about this occurring on these file servers as I am about the possiblity that this long delay may be causing or contiobuting to some problems I'm having with DPM and Hyper-V vms on a cluster. Which log would show this, if any, since it is a status, not an error event with an ID?
P2V using system image backup from Windows Server Essentials on the same hardware
Hi,
I have the requirement to move a newly built physical Windows Server Essentials install, to a guest on the same server after installing Server 2012 and Hyper-V onto the original hardware. Can I use the system image backup to do it?
My thoughts are to backup the original server, wipe it, install the 2012 Server, install Hyper-V, create a new virtual guest, then restore the backup to the virtual guest. Any pointers or documents would be greatly appreciated.

Windows Server 2008 R2 Essentials - System Restore can't find the backups
Title pretty much says it all. Daily logs show backups running successfully every night for months. Have something like 200+ backups spanning 800GB on a 1TB USB drive. System now booting into Recovery mode (RecEnv.exe) but it refuses
to see the backups. Tried plugging and unplugging USB drive, tried multiple reboots, tried connecting the bare drive via a free internal SATA interface (BIOS sees it fine) but the backups are never found. Logged in as Administrator with the correct
non-default password.
Hooked the drive up as a USB device on a Windows 7 Pro machine - sees it fine. Not thrilled by the idea of restoring over the network from a USB 2.0 device but that is my next option.
I've searched for and read the "Essentials" posts on this forum and it appears I'm not alone, the cut and paste answers aren't cutting it.
Anybody actually done a bare metal restore using the Windows created backups and the Windows restore method on 2008 R2 Essentials? Any suggestions for Plan B?
VSS fails unexpectedly for third party
A few years ago the company I support transitioned to Carbonite Backup from a local company that had proven unreliable. We have three servers, all of which are running Carbonite. For some reason our Exchange server, and only our Exchange server, has been had a very hard time with Carbonite. VSS fails, it used to fail regularly. So regularly that I actually set up the server to reboot every week just to prevent it. We've since made some changes which allowed me to turn off one of Carbonite's services and since then there hasn't been a problem, until this weekend. Once again VSS failed, the backup failed, and at this point the server becomes next to unresponsive. Interestingly, email continues to flow without a problem. It's just impossible to actually interact with the server in a meaningful way.
The Event Data is as follows:

I've contacted Carbonite about it multiple times and they have always said it's nothing to do with their system. Considering that we recently got our third server as a data server and transferred the bulk of Carbonite's duties to it, I'm inclined to agree since it has not had this issue. It seems to be something to do with the Exchange server. I've never been terribly confident in the Exchange servers initial setup, but I am also loath to rebuild it at this point.
Is there any help or ideas that might get me past this?

So do I have a valid Systemstate backup ?
And can I trust I can use it to recover if needed, since it says "No system state backups were found" ?
And why can't I delete the oldest backup ?

Server 2012 backup - external drive
My server PS died. It's going to take days for it to come in. I need to RESTORE the data from the external hard drive attached to the server and put it on a temporary PC.
I connected the external drive to a windows 7 box, mounted it. I see the XML files but how can I RESTORE the data to this PC?
What software do I use or can I copy it? I tried the BACKUP AND RESTORE on the Win7 box, but it doesn't see the image.
Background: I configured the external drive on the server to do the backups and as you know, Server 2012 required to format the whole drive and create it's image on it.
How to restore NTBackup's BKF file on Windows server 2012 std.
i want to restore my windows sbs2003 .bkf file to 2012 std server, as per default utility in 2012 server i couldn't find restore of .bkf file.
please let me know how i can restore or is there any utility.
When I recover with my .bkf file my windows 2003 r2 it asks for activation
Hi, I'm having a big trouble trying to recover my windows 2003 standard r2 pack with my .bkf file. I've done what I've allways do, I go to backup files --> Recover --> Select my .bkf file --> Advanced --> and here no matter what I select even
rewritte all the files or respect the old ones I get the same problem( I will discribe it later). And when the recover program it's done he asks me for restarting my server. So I do. After restarting the program it asks me for my user and passowrd. So I write
them and then after a while a pop up tells me that I need to activate my product and he asks for a product key.
The image is with the spanish version because so was required by the client. But the translation is what I wrote above
sorry momentany I can't add the image, i will make it later
So I click in yes (Si), and then it goes to another blue screen window that asks for the key activation but I can't do anything. See the image below.
sorry momentany I can't add the image, i will make it later
The wierd thing is that I can't close the window because I'm unable to navigate with the mouse across the window.
I'm using as you can see virtualbox to execute my windows 2003 r2 pack. I'm sure that my .bkf file isn't corrupted so I can't understand what the problem is. I'm really frustrated with this problem. Any help would be nice
Thank you for your replies

An internal error occurred while enumerating backup sets
Hi buddies.
Maybe you know how to solve this problem I'm getting. I have a backup policy in my server, that makes a full image. I'm able to restore that image (using the windows cd) if it's located in an USB HDD, but if I try to load the image trough a network share, the quoted error message appears...
Any idea? I've tried in different servers, locations, sharing permisions...
Thx!
WbAdmin shows only lats backup to restore !
I have three hyper-v servers with four VM's on each I have scheduled windows server backup on them using default setting to backup them twice a day I have configured iSCSi drive on each hyper-v to be used as backup drive
now I want to test the backups and restore them on different server to make sure the backup is usable "I do this from time to time" i did connect the iscsi drive to another server an ran windows server backup but i can only see the last backup only ! no older backups will be shown !
when i check on the individual hyper-v backup consoles it shows this
How to overcome 2 major Windows Server Backup limitations?
1. Is it possible to keep multiple backup copies when backing up to network drive?
I realize that Windows Server Backup cannot keep multiple backup copies (unless backing up to local drive instead of remote network drive). This defeat the purpose of having a backup because when the local drive failed, the backup failed with it, isn't it?
This can still be overcome by manually rename the backup folder by adding the backup date so that it will create a new backup folder.
2. Is it possible to do a FULL backup of selected folders?
I realize that Windows Server Backup cannot do full backup if you didn't want to backup the whole server. It will always perform incremental backup with selected folder. How can I reset the files and folders so that all the files and subfolders within the selected folders will get backed up?
This cannot be overcome as you will need to retain all past backup folders and there is no way to merge them.
